VRCDN can be used to create a low latency link between a DJ, VJ, LD, or other parts of a stream pipeline. To do this we recommend using your account's private key to carry the incoming stream to your OBS, we call this “relaying”.
Relaying uses standard streaming tools (OBS, Streamlabs, etc.) however additionally the receiver should install the 64 bit version of VLC Media player to reliably receive the stream from the sender. This will install the “VLC Video Source” OBS source that will allow for reliable streaming from the relay. Alternatively the default “Media Source” can be used though the VLC plugin is recommended.
For the Sender/DJ the stream is set as per the normal streaming settings for VRCDN except the private key is used instead of the live key.
The receiver should be using their standard streaming setup for VRCDN including the stream destination.
To receive the relay from the sender the VLC Video Source should be used. The URL source should be set as rtmp://stream.vrcdn.live/live/[PrivateKey] where the [PrivateKey] is the one the sender is using as noted above.
